INNOVATION CENTERS - Sapir Collage

In 2018, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center was established at Sapir College – the “Hay BeSapir” center. The center instructs approx. 200 students and staff members  every year and additional 30 residents from the area. The center operates ten thematic Labs in the following areas:

Digital health; Legal-Tech; Fin-Tech; Smart Cities; Culture; New Television Formats; Education and Psychology; the Future World Market; Gaming; and Industrial Challenges.

The purpose of the Labs is to assist students, faculty and residents from the area to promote innovative projects in the thematic fields of Labs. Each of the students studying at Sapir can choose and work in any Lab, regardless of his main field of study. This fact creates a healthy variety of specializations in each of the Labs and entails open and creative thinking.

Alongside the Labs, the center operates four professional clinics in the fields of Economics; Law; Marketing; Software; and Product Design (UI / UX) that provide services to different entrepreneurial teams. Every year, approx. 40 different projects are created within the Hai BeSapir Center. The best projects receive additional support, after the end of the program, with the intention of bringing them to a level where they can raise resources and establish a real venture.

Hai BeSapir offers a new model of academia: an academy that produces an innovative teaching method and a real connection between theoretical knowledge, technology and social impact. The center provides its graduates, many of them are from the periphery, with knowledge and practical tools that enable them to realize their vision and develop independent ventures.
